Sincerely, Sam, written by August Frade, follows Annie/Sam, a trans youth navigating their coming-out journey with the help of their imaginary superhero best friend, Super Sage. As Sam works through coming out to friends and family, the play explores identity, acceptance, fear, friendship, and finding the courage to live authentically, using imagination and the superhero world to bring Sam’s internal struggles to life.

The production was presented at the National Theatre School DramaFest, where it advanced to the Provincial Showcase. For my work on the production, I received a Distinctive Merit Award for Lighting and Colour Design.
