Sister sophia

Kicks The Habit

Show Description

Sister Sophia Kicks the Habit, written and performed by Lisa Randall, follows Sister Sophia, an aging nun experiencing a crisis of faith while grieving the loss of her close friend. During a restless night of reflection, she confronts her relationship with God, her years of sisterhood, and the choices and sacrifices that have shaped her life. Blending humour, heartfelt reflection, musings, and song, the production explores grief, faith, doubt, and self-discovery as Sophia begins to find a new outlook on life.

“The staging and lighting were most effective and allowed the varied range of moods in the show to unfold seamlessly in that short time. A tour de force!”
